Ads, affiliate links and sponsored posts
FizzyWay is free to read. Right now it has no ads, no affiliate links and no sponsored posts, and no brand pays to be mentioned.
If that changes, this page will be updated first. Any affiliate link will be marked in the post where it appears, and it won’t change which supply a recipe recommends.
Who writes the posts
The recipes and guides are researched and written by the FizzyWay team and published under Owen Whitfield’s byline. We check them against how the ingredients behave, and we’re making and photographing them ourselves over time. The editorial policy explains how posts are put together.

Some images on the site are illustrative and AI-assisted. We’ll replace them with our own photos over time.
Not medical advice
Posts on FizzyWay are about making bath and shower products at home. They are not medical advice. Posts about scents for sleep, sinuses or headaches describe a scent and how people use it; they don’t claim to treat or cure anything.
- Essential oils are strong. Keep to the amounts in each recipe, and don’t use shower steamers as bath bombs: they’re made to be smelled, not soaked in.
- Stop using a product if it irritates your skin, eyes or breathing.
- Ask a doctor or pharmacist before using essential oils if you’re pregnant, have asthma or another health condition, or are making something for a child.
- Keep citric acid, essential oils and finished fizzies away from pets and out of children’s reach.
Your responsibility
Homemade products vary with ingredients, humidity and technique. Make and use them at your own discretion, patch-test anything that touches skin, and label anything you give as a gift with its full ingredient list.
